Bioethics: ORGAN DONATION
I enjoyed this project a lot; it was possibly my favorite project this year.My group had a fun time making it, as evidenced by our last slides. While the memorizing stats and figures was pretty boring and led to an unproductive first day, once we got into the controversy and debate things started to pick up. We all did an equal amount of work, and while we weren't consistently productive, we were done on time, so that really isn't much of an issue. The most interesting thing to me (if you haven't caught on yet) was the debate surrounding some of these issues, especially organ donations. I like to throw people for a loop, and come from a different angle, go against the common perception. In a STEM classroom, where some of the opinions are shared, it's a ball. One thing that I did some cursory research on, yet want to know more about, it moral agency vs. legal advocacy. It's the idea that a lawyer can be a good lawyer and defend his client within the law, yet that doesn't mean that he is morally correct. Overall I liked this project and I hope we can do this again with a different topic.
